I am also known as soul-andi...because I was crazy about northern soul music.
first time I went to a soul weekender in London and the 100 club, I had only one thing in my mind:
"I have to bring northern soul to Nuremberg". That's why I organized the first soul-weekender in Nuremberg aka "A to A soul club". One of my best moments in life was when Jon Buck did the sound check in the empty hall and played the 45er " That's my girls" wow I had tears in my eyes... This Weekender is now one of the biggest in Europe, so I achieved one of my dreams ;-)
another dream back in the days was to become the only girls in a damn good scooter club... this goal was archived by me being the first girl in Lambetta Club Austria with my beloved Lambretta 150 Special. We organized the Euro Lambretta in Austria 1996 and we had sooo much fun...I was also a DJ but I gave it up when I did gave up to collect records...maybe this wasn't such a good idea... I never wanted to be a DJ but when I organized my very first soul and ska party this was...in 1989... I totally have forgotten about the DJ. It was so much fun to make the flyer and organize the party, that when the first people arrived, somebody asked me who is playing the records...upss...so I asked a friend to go home and pick up his records and I did the same... two Dj's were born. The good thing about it was I could always listen to my favorite songs... more a selfish thing though;-)
One of my big fails was to make a Fanzine only for the girls in this scene. The Fanzine with the name" Keen on strap" was mainly bought by guys! But it was fun anyways.
