About Me

CINEGRITUDE..LET IT BE!!
Cinephile, jazz aficionado, pan-Africanist, electronica/basshead, lover of dollhouses, animal lover, feminist, POC environmental activist, vegetarian (most of the time!), world travel junkie/world citizen and lover of all things African i.e. the arts, science(s), music and destinations (city and countryside).
Diggin'and have dug the film, music, fine arts scene in the U.S. and what's happening in Londontown, Joburg/Capetown, Kingston, Berlin, Rio/Bahia/Sao Paulo, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and how its evolving and changing and resisting...... soakin'up, sharin', bein' influenced and inspired by....
No such thing as authenticity, we are all variations and mirrors of each other.......
Oh, and sweet Mother Earth, she's growing weary ya'll....like sista Ursula Rucker says "My wounds are deep... They've loved me as would an unfaithful lover, part-time and half-assed--with nevers & nothings!
Cultural warrior/library director at Harvard by day and the rest of the time, a steady diet of film and music--watching, writing and supporting the Beautiful Ones who are blessed to live and make art 100%. Here to connect (and share) ideas, commonalities and resources. Word.
Dogonland comes from the Dogon country of Mali, a sojourn that changed my life.
Nice rules I try to live by: accentuate the positive and follow your bliss.......and a follower of that Arab proverb (shared by Thich Nhat Hahn) about speech passing through 3 gatekeepers: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
