“Power U!” is a multi-medium journey through the sacred feminine (mountains, peaks and valleys - complete with flood and drought). It is a never-ending poem and an open love letter to self. It is bold, beautiful and honest! Each track started out as a poetic statement connected by theme and vision. Later, through a series of lessons and experiences communicated to me how they would best be conveyed. The result: song, rhyme, spoken word, story and more singing...It is a reflection, a resurrection, a revelation. It is raw...The vocals, structure and ideas are as “Lioness” - wild, fierce, untrained and untamed. It is in-tune, timely, and moving. It induces goosebumps. It is HIP and POWERFUL work!”
On this powerful album, Queen navigates a hip yet humble path through the 'ugly' to guide us back to the beautiful -a journey that millions of people all over the world (regardless of race, class, faith and gender) face everyday.
