Life is a joke, you just gotta know the punchline.

About Me

Visit my new strip's website:www.miserylovessherman.com

I sit in my house writing and drawing all day and sleeping all night.Okay. I do too many things. I letter a bunch of comic books, I own a company that letters a whole bunch more comic books. I write and draw comics--most recently one from Marvel called Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius and writing and drawing cartoons for The Complete Idiots Guide books.Did I say sleep at night? I lied--I don't sleep.

My Interests

Baseball: I'm a die-hard Mets fan. Been that way since I was little. And, strangely enough, my indifference to the Yankees throws people off. Screw the American League--anyone can win with the DH.Comic strips: I grew up reading Peanuts,Pogo as well as any other strip I could find. Then, as I reached my adolescence, Bloom County came into existence and I was hooked. Then in High School Calvin and Hobbes appeared. That was the end all-be all.My wife and kids: The three coolest people in the world. If I could hang out with them all the time and do nothing else, I be quite happy.

I'd like to meet:

If I had the choice to talk to anyone, dead or alive. I'd choose the alive guy.

Music:

You name it, I listen to it. It all depends on my mood. Rap, rock, classical. I do avoid country music, pop music and Christian rock. My ears bleed when I hear them.

Movies:

I watch them occasionally.I really don't have a lot of time to watch movies. Obviously you can't work in comics unless you like the original Star Wars trilogy--the prequels? Don't mention them in my presence. The Indiana Jones Trilogy. The Back to the Future trilogy (If I was a millionaire, I would buy that mocked up time machine and drive it around town in a acid wash jean jacket and armless down vest), The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Dark Crystal, The Matrix. I also love documentaries--I always want to learn new things. Baseball and the Civil War by Ken Burns are yearly watchers.

Television:

Don't watch much these days.In the past, the big ones were the Muppet Show, Seinfeld, a lot of stand up comedy. Lately I have been addicted to the Biggest Loser. Go figure.

Brainy and knowledgable, you are the perfect sidekick.
You're always willing to lend a helping hand.
In any big event or party, you're the one who keeps things going.
"15 seconds to showtime!" The Muppet Personality Test

Books:

I read 'em. Lots of them. I'm ALWAYS reading--ask the wife. I normally have 4 or 5 books going at a time. They are on totally unrelated topics as well. I'll give a snapshot; right now I'm reading "Spinning Disney's World" by Charles Ridgeway, "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln" by Doris Kearns Goodwin and I'm listening to "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" By J.K. Rowling while I work.

Heroes:

Mom, Dad, Lincoln, Michael J. Fox, Schulz, Watterson, Breathed, etc.Your results:
