I'm Darick Robertson. I didn't change the spelling of my name to be cool, that is the constantly misspelled name bequeathed to me by my late mother. Despite being known primarily through my printed name, I often get an extra "r" in it and wish I could charge penalties, for then I would be rich.
I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have lived in San Francisco, Florence, Italy and New York city (then Brooklyn), before returning to the Bay Area and Napa Valley.
I am best known for Co-Creating Spider Jerusalem, the lead character in "Transmetropolitan", with Warren Ellis. I was the lead artist on the relaunch of the Wolverine comic series for Marvel with Greg Rucka in 2003, and I am currently the Co-creator and artist of The controversial hit comic "the BOYS" with Garth Ennis for Dynamite Entertainment.
