Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.

About Me

I was recently accused of living in a "fantasyland" of comics, cartoons, movies and games. What's so wrong with that?
I'm an ex-comic book editor and talent manager who's now working on the other side of the desk trying to make it as a freelance writer, discovering what life is like pitching stories and ideas without a steady paycheck.
You can read more about me at my regular blog, www.chesterfest.blogspot.com
And if anyone finds a way to squeeze more hours into a day, please be sure to let me know the secret.
COMICS BY ME ON SALE THIS WEEK...
X-MEN: DIVIDED WE STAND #2
Two stories in this issue by yours truly: a Surge/Moonstar tale penciled and inked by David Lafuente, colored by the Christina Strain, and a look at Illyana "Magik" Rasputin that's illustrated by David Yardin with colors by John Rauch!
ALSO STILL AVAILABLE...
WONDERLOST #2
AVENGERS FAIRY TALES #2
A tale of the Vision as Pinocchio, illustrated by the always incredible Nuno Plati! Cover by Claire Wendling!!
AVENGERS FAIRY TALES #1
MYSTIC ARCANA HARDCOVER
Marvel's Mystic Arcana Hardcover went on sale December 12th and collects five enchanting stories featuring some of their universe's most beloved magical characters, like the Scarlet With and Illyana "Magik" Rasputin. Phil Noto and I tell a harrowing tale of teenage terror starring Nico "Sister Grimm" Minoru of Runaways fame! Available wherever comic books are sold.
Also, WONDERLOST #1, the first issue of my autobiographical comic anthology, is STILL ON SALE!
I'm terrible at hyping my own work, especially one as personal as this, but I hope you'll all give it a shot and at least flip through it in the comic shop. Anyone who has ever been in high school and/or in love, should be able to relate to some of the stories I have to tell. Yes, they're about me, but the comments I've been getting most from folks who have read advanced copies have been along the lines of "Wow, this really brought me back and made me think about when I was a teenager."
It features the beautiful artwork of Paul Azaceta, Martin Montiel & Juan Castro, Alina Urusov, Khoi Pham, Jonathan Luna and Ethan Young, with a Leinil Yu cover!!
