Comic Geek Speak is one of the original all-talk ensemble comics podcasts put together by a group of life-long comic geeks. It's three to four episodes a week of current comics talk, comic book history, news, reviews and a general look at the industry. CGS also features creator interviews, listener responses, contests, and trivia.
CGS has one of the finest Forum communities on the net that includes listeners, creators, other podcasters and more. Several listeners have gone on to create their own podcasts either influenced or inspired by CGS, including Raging Bullets, Popcult Online, Birds of Geek, Around Comics, Geek Syndicate, Kryptographik, the Amazing Spider-Cast, the Uncanny X-Cast, Born in the 8ts, Comic Timing, Geeks Unite, Alternate Reality and others. Both Comic Book Data Base and Comic Sketch Gallery were spawned from CGS and the first issue of our new venture, the Comics Now Magazine hit comic shops January 23. CGS is also gearing up for the first ever CGS SuperShow!, a comic book festival in Reading, Pa. celebrating the many creators, friends and listeners that have helped shaped this ever-growing community.
Produced regularly since March of 2005, Comic Geek Speak has been the Official Comics Podcast for the 2006 New York Comic Con as well as the 2006 & 2007 Pittsburgh Comicon. Listen in and experience all the joys of a Wednesday afternoon at the comic shop, from the comfort of your own headphones.
"In a sea of podcasts dominated by noise your unique voice is loud and clear." - Brian Miller, Hi-Fi Design
