Welcome to the world of The Radio Shed

About Me

Radio Shed Radio Pete “Do you like hai karate aftershave? Rae and Brian “No” This is probably not the average question that you would hear on the average radio show. But then this is not the average radio show.On the first show many characters were invited in and from the first broadcast the radio shed team were formed. With messers Leeson and Mitchell at the helm, radio Pete (resident do it yourself expert and chief knob twiddler) was roped in to keep the shed safe and maintained to allow the shows to be broadcast from a hazard free environment. The fourth member of the team is Brian’s Gran who keeps the team topped up with gallons of tea, coffee, cake and the odd piece of fruit for good measure. If you listen to any of the sheds productions the onus is definitely on providing an opportunity for bands that would not normally be heard,(the great unsigned) to be heard. Ask for one of your songs to be played here... Our home page The quality within the play list is broad and the needless to say the artists and bands reflect the tastes of the four members of the team. The musical content of the shows is complimented by the between song dialogue which would best be described as abstract. The team have invited many bands and musicians into the shed. These live sessions have included music from wide and varied genres. From the sensitive pop ballads of Steve O Donoghue to the full bands sound of Freed and Detours. There was a particularly memorable session with traditional folk trio Morrigan. But best to leave that there I think. It is fair to say the backdrop to all the shows is laughter. The sense of fun and some of the comedic timing is priceless. But don’t take our word for it…. Judge for yourself.
