Reviews
“Never in my life have I seen a guitar used in such a way. Mark holds a whole new torch to the singer songwriter genre.â€
Manchester Evening News
“Displaying lightning fingers, the use of his acoustic guitar as a multi-faceted percussion instrument would have been merely impressive; considering the simultaneous, blisteringly quick fretwork, it was astounding.â€
High Voltage
“The music is beautiful and fresh. It touches upon the darker side of blues rock and roll, and has that Deep South American flavour, the gravely voice and almost demonic sound of the slide guitar.
Liverpool Echo
“As soon as Mark Wilson began to play his first song every single person in the basement of the Hard Rock Cafe went silent and took notice. No one could believe so much sound was being produced by one quiet looking man and his acoustic guitar.
Aloud.com
“During every song the audience were entrapped by the amazing spectacle that is Mark Wilson, as he barraged his guitar with countless beats and riffs, ultimately culminating in an astonishing experience.â€
Leeds Music Scene
“Within ten seconds of his arrival an inquisitive crowd gathered around him in an attempt to comprehend his magic but Mark’s incredible ability is much more than a novelty; his ability acts as servant to his song writing craft and to see him perform live is thrilling and bewildering.â€
BBC Liverpool
“He does literally seem to become one with his instrument and the result is a veritable storm of frantic blues and incessant beats. When this guy plays it’s like he possessed, there’s nothing else quite like him out there.â€
WhisperinandHollerin.com
“Merseyside’s own Mark Wilson stirs the untouchable soul of Nick Drake from his grave with delicate, stirring folk vocals. His fingers weave a fine fabric of blues and rhythm as his guitar runs away with itself at dizzying speed, evoking the impression of a full band ensemble.
