I have been writing songs for a long long time......I am really three hundred and twenty three ...well in Angel years...
I sometimes play with freinds, other musicians, jamming every Thursday night (well almost, depends how the fettle is!) in the local pubs. Alternating between The Masonic Arms in Gatehouse of Fleet and The Borgue Hotel. There is a huge crowd gathering for that and new people are always always welcome to join in. We play an ecclectic mix of folk to junk punk...original material is encouraged at the music sessions as well. It is an interesting bazzaar of fun and noise. We sometimes get a story from Greg (Stripey dog) and a poem from our resident saxaphonist and egg head Ted.
Amongst the many regulars we have Iain (Killin Folk) Alan (The Geese) and Harry from the infamous band Zachariah Toadstool showing face at the pub.Part of this is to raise funds for the Midsummer Music festival we are hosting in Gatehouse of Fleet this year 19-22nd June. There will be open mics so anyone interested please give me a nod!Life is good right now-always is when there is freinds and music in the mix!
Having played at local festivals such as The Wickerman I have become a dab hand at festival survival techniques! I hosted The Barabajagal tent and met many lovely people!Hello you!!!!I am also a storyteller with my friend Alan. We are known as THE WEE FOLK STORYTELLERS. My tales are of giants that collect smells and farting fairies.....I am very blessed to share my life with my beloved Richard and our three wee squirts Maria, Matthew and Freya. They are eternally patient and seem to cope quite well having an artistic nutter in thier life!Love, Light, Peace and Joy!!
