ACTOR FOR HIRE

About Me

WELCOME TO MY OFFICIAL MYSPACE PAGE! Hi there! My name is James but, my friends call me Jimmy so, by all means... call me Jimmy! I use the name James professionally because I think it has better "marquee value" and sounds more respectable. Whatever! Thanks for stopping by! I'm an inshape, cool, open minded guy just trying to make it in the world. I'm 5'8', four-zero, 150lbs., 32 waist, brown hair, brown eyes, my turn ons include: quiet romantic evenings, pizza & Adam Sandler movies. My turn offs include: Waiting in line, asparagus & Vin Diesel movies. I'm an aspiring actor and stand-up comic with dozens of stage credits. I have performed my stand-up act in clubs and variety shows. My short term goal is to work in films & television. Until that time I make ends meet by working for an advertising agency. I made my film debut in 2005 with the suspense-thriller "Mother's Little Problem" which premiered at the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan Film Festival in September 2005 In my free time I enjoy going to movies, live theatre, and concerts as well as being a couch potato when not hitting the Gym 3-4 days a week. I enjoy cooking at home but, enjoy fine dining in an elegant restaurant even more! I have an extensive CD music collection which includes many original broadway cast recordings. I enjoy many different kinds of music including: pop, rock, oldies, standards, country, jazz & classical. I own several hundred books! I enjoy reading about real life people like biographies about other actors. I find books about historical events and true crime interesting as well. I also enjoy collecting my favorite films and television shows on DVD. I also collect movie & T.V. memoribila. I don't drink, smoke, or drug! I don't drink coffee or soda, and I'm severely allergic to cats! I love ice cream... I can eat an entire pint in one sitting... I believe in finishing what I start! Just kidding! NOT! I have struggled with my weight and body image all my life. Since 2000 I've discovered that the key to successful weight loss and management is proper diet and exercise. You see, I was a "husky" child, chubby teen, and at the age of 17 I was a 120 lb anorexic! I slowly gained the weight back through my 20's until I was an overweight 30 year old! 200lbs. to be exact! Having never worked out a day in my life and had achieved weight loss in the past by starvation I was not in a good place to start a new health plan. I made a promise to myself that I can be healthy, look healthy, and my life wasn't over at 33! Many false starts later, lots of trial and error, and research I found a plan that worked for me. Bill Phillips' Body for Life program transformed my body and got me on track to a new healthy me! In one year I lost 50 lbs and went from 30% body fat to 10% and maintained it for several years! Still a struggle but, I can now control my health! Now that I'm 40 I think I've struck a good balance in controlling my weight. I suffered a physical setback in 2007 due to a back injury that has caused permanent spinal damage and deflated my muscle tone due to an inabilty to workout. I'm unable to work and have even had to turn down paying acting jobs because I'm not up to the physical demands that is required. Even though chronic pain is now a tough reality for me I try to focus on what I DO have instead of what I DON'T have! Here are some plays that I was in that were also made into movies (that I was not in) "A Few Good Men" as LCpl. Dawson, "The Heidi Chronicles" as Peter Patrone, "Crimes Of The Heart" as Barnette Lloyd, "Lovers And Other Strangers" as Richie, "Come Back To The Five And Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" as Joe Qualley, "The Trip To Bountiful" as Ludie Watts, "Norman Is That You?" as Garson Hobart, "A Christmas Carol" as Fred (Scrooge's Nephew) "Angels In America" as Prior Walter, "Jesus Christ Superstar" as King Herod, "West Side Story" as Gladhand. My Interests

Favorite Quote: "I feel like I'm wasting time if I repeat myself. I can't say I'm proud of my work. It's the same with everything I do: the day I say 'It's good' is the day I should start doing something else." ~ Heath Ledger (1973-2008)

I'd like to meet:

Professionally: I'd like to meet folks in the entertainment industry who can teach me a thing or two and perhaps exchange recipes and gossip about people we hate! I could use an agent! I've been with two different agencies in Detroit... one closed down and the other dropped me after I was not hired numerous times after being sent on auditions! Personally: Looking to meet healthy people (both physically and emotionally, age unimportant) who share my interests for fun, friendship, relationship, chat, or just to hang out. I'm an open minded guy so, someone's orientation doesn't matter to me... Straight, Bi, Gay, whatever! I can be friends with anyone! If you think the same... FEEL FREE TO SEND ME AN E-MAIL! Let's chat! :o) The following people I have met and very much enjoyed meeting them... I think I would enjoy meeting the following people...
