Film acting; singing; modeling; cartooning and illustration; I run a graphic design business (click logo to visit my site)
Music that expresses how I feel inside; romance; passion; ubsurd humor introduced into very serious situations. I'm a positive-people collector; I gravitate towards people who like to bypass small talk to discuss deeper issues; I'm generally disappointed with the social mannerisms we adopt designed to keep us "protected" from real communication. I know that takes trust, because many people have been burned in friendships, but I greatly appreciate it when someone feels they can trust me enough to open up. My true friends know they can trust me. Time travel fascinates me. I would love to revisit myself as a child and say, "It's gonna be okay...you're a beautiful person...don't let the negative people in your life steal your spirit." I love watching glass melt! A world without extremism, fanaticism and hate (apparently I'm way ahead of our time). THIS IS A HATE-FREE PROFILE. I welcome those of you who value and promote social tolerance and peaceful solutions to conflict. I will never give up on the possibility of peace between people who have different fundamental beliefs. I don't believe violence creates the opportunity for peace...I believe communication, listening, forgiveness and an open-mind does.
"Life is what happens when we're busy making other plans." -John Lennon
A film I was recently in.
I appreciate wacky humor such as The Phil Hendrie Show, Deep Thoughts and Little Britain...LITTLE BRITAIN! How can you not laugh at those kooks? A have a big gray cat named "Hugh" who likes to head-butt my face. I also have a Boston Terrier named "Handsome" who we rescued from a sad, early upbringing. I keep my body in good shape with regular exercise, rollerblading, and running.
I have a good musician pal named Benji who is in a group called Fashionably Late. Please check them out by clicking the logo below. They're a lot of fun to hear!
I'd like to meet and network with like-minded creative people in the Triangle. I like to support other creative human beings who are also trying to tell their story. In this anti-artistic society we currently live in (unlike the 1500s), I believe we artists need each other for encouragement and promotion. I'm definitely into honest conversation and I highly value good friends who give back in return. I want to meet people who are striving to know everything about themselves and the people around them. Thinkers are very important to me.

Like so many of us, I have a love/hate relationship with television. Television is directly responsible for the sheepish behavior in Americans today and it's getting worse.
HOWEVER...
Desperate Housewives; Boston Legal; I'm a huge fan of vintage television such as Twilight Zone; Outer Limits; Star Trek original series; Andy Griffith; Leave it to Beaver; Brady Bunch; Gilligan's Island; Sonny and Cher Show; All in the Family; Dragnet; Emergency; Route 66; Antiques Road Show; News Hour with Jim Lehrer; any Carol Burnett skit that involves Burnett, Korman, Conway and Lawrence. See, I don't watch much. I'm too busy. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to stay up late with my dad on a Friday night and watch "Creature Features" hosted by Bob Wilkins ('twas a popular pastime in the early 70s on the west coast).
Most novels by William S. Burroughs; Jack Kerouac; Hunter S. Thompson; Charles Bukowski; Tom Robbins; Into Film (a great study of film techniques by the masters such as Ingmar Bergman); Steven King stuff; Michael Crichton stuff; Sherlock Holmes mysteries; Citizen Hearst (bio on W.R, Hearst); Deep in a Dream (good bio on my fav heroin addict Chet Baker); The Harry Potter collection; A Walk in the Woods; On The Road; Medical Curiousities (a collection of cases of bizarre birth defects and other freaky human conditions (with photos!); much children's literature such as Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham, tons of reference books (almanacs, trivia books, etc.); That's Disgusting: An Adult Guide to What's Tasteless, Rude, Crude and Lewd.
