I have several concepts for both screenplays and novels. In the interest of charting my own course, I am planning a novel, for self-publication. I am hoping to use this MySpace page, and it's accompanying blog, as a sort of base from which to research this project, as well as to network with other writers, and eventually producers, publishers and other writing professionals.
So here it is, my CALL FOR ASSISTANCE!!! I wish to reach military Veterans, of any of the services. Although my planned setting is Vietnam, I would be happy to hear from Veterans of any stripe, but I especially wish to hear your stories of the Vietnam experience, including any written correspondence from Vietnam Vets.
What did you do before reporting for induction, recollections of boot camp, traveling to deployments, experiences on leave, do you have your draft notice, citations for medals, newspaper clippings. Infantry, artillery, support personnel, MP, medical, anyone and everyone.
