About Me

Hi there! How are you? How's work going? I'm sorry, I'm sorry... this is supposed to be about me, isn't it? Well, what can I tell you about myself? I guess being me all day long makes it difficult for me to judge me objectively. If I were a policeman, I'd say something like: "white male, mid thirties, 5 foot nine, medium build. Short brown hair, hazel eyes. Several tattoos as distinguishing features." If I were an anthropologist I'd probably think of me as an excellent example of the decline in America's core values as the country struggles through its transition from balanced superpower to senescent post-imperial decadence. If I were a psychologist or some other variety of head doctor, I'd probably throw up my hands in disgust and recommend that this specimen be quarantined for the greater good of society. I used to say about myself "I'm like a cheap Oscar Wilde. But straight." Nowadays I just fall back on paraphrasing Douglas Adams: "I'm just this guy, y'know?"... to quote my sweet AME: "You're not straight, you're just heterosexual."

My Interests

art, music, politics, religion, sexuality, movies, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, pets, gaming, technology, surrealism, yoga... "What dignifies the Yogic practices is that the belief system itself is not truly religious. There is no Buddhist God per se. It is the Self, the individual Mind, that contains immortality and ultimate truth."

Kerouac
