The usual "mom" stuff: Hockey (never believed in "time out"...when my kid acted up he went straight to the penalty box), PTA (got one of those bumper stickers bragging about my kid...the one who's on "Detention Roll"). ALL forms of comedy, writing as often as I can, music, travel, and laundry (not at all interesting but a necessity). I especially enjoy trips to the dry cleaners!
I'd like to meet anyone who enjoys comedy, whether you perform or just like to watch. Or do both at the same time.
AWESOME NEWS FROM MY AUSSIE FRIENDS GLOBAL MUSIC STAR: I will be featured in their monthly e-zine with a Comedy Capers column. And simulcast with that will be one of my audio humor pieces. And check the June issue for my interview where I share my own seriously weird fairy tale -- read it and laugh happily ever after!
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Quiet on the Set!, striving to bring you the best entertainment, is excited to add a newscast to their show! We are proud to announce that Shelly Ryan has agreed to do a weekly pre-recorded segment, "Seriously Weird! News" on our show!

Shelly Ryan: Seriously Weird! provides 15 tracks of retro humor that will take you on a blast to the past and leave you laughing happily ever after! I will donate 100% of all CD sales (including mp3 album downloads) to Indie Music for Life to help fight cancer through laughter. Click on the cover to join me in making a difference!
I love hearing from my friends! In addition to posting fun comments on my profile and blogs, I encourage you to leave a voice comment!
My MP3 player has an eclectic mix of tunes: acoustic, classical, classic rock, Latin...what I listen to depends on my mood. I support Indie artists because they are the heart and soul of the industry.
Anything by Monty Python; Bringin' Down the House, Weekend at Bernie's, Grumpy Old Men, Foul Play, Mrs. Doubtfire, Stripes, Airplane! I'm a hopeless romantic...but I have a saracstic edge when it comes to love, so here's my favorite movie scene (from The Wedding Singer):
Don't watch that much, but enjoy vintage SNL, Monty Python, and Whose Line is it Anyway. Missed Sex and the City in its heyday because we're too cheap to get premium channels. Anybody know how "Mr. Big" got his nickname? And I love comedy about the dry cleaners...
Monty Python: All the Words, Sweet Potato Queens (various), Dave Barry (all of them), Hockey for Dummies, and books on the art of comedy writing and performing. And I can't forget my vintage collection by cartoonist Charles Schultz!
My parents, who raised me to have a healthy sense of humor. My children, the apples of my eye (who haven't fallen far from the tree). My friends, many of whom are just as busy as I am but are always there for laughs and margaritas. And everyone else who keeps my sense of humor going on those days when things aren't always that funny.
