Federico Fasce studied classical guitar for ten years with Maestro Carlo Palladino; his instruction also included composition. At age 16 he formed his first group, The Aries, where he played electric bass, electric and acoustic guitars. Their progressive rock sound was similar to that of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Later he played in another local group, AFM.
At age 25 Federico began his solo career. Since then he has composed music for various theatrical performances: soundtracks for short movies in Italy, documentaries, and institutional videos. He composed the music for a tribute honoring the prolific artist Paul Klee and has recently scored soundtracks for several American short and feature films.
His first three CDs were distributed in Italy and Europe: Federico Fasce (2001) with the Italian label Videoradio that was first in the general chart of the Italian Vitaminic site for one month and for more than two months on the British general chart. In 2002 he released Antade, with the CD 3 following in 2003. His fourth CD, Winter Blossoms (released in 2005), was the first to be available in North America. In April 2006 he released Images from the Past that is "64 minutes of pure music that relaxes and gives energy." His February 2007 release of Tales of the Desert Seas tells a vivid story through a unique style that is a mix of prog rock, classic and ambient music.
Federico’s “Speed Limit†is included on the Indie Music for Life 2007 Rock Compilation CD. He is also helping fight cancer one song at a time by his contribution to a children’s story CD: The Hopeful Princess. His music is heard world-wide on numerous internet radio stations and online music sites. Federico was born in Genoa Italy, where he still resides.
Federico Fasce ha studiato 10 anni chitarra classica col M° Carlo Palladino – ha studiato anche composizione.
A 16 anni forma il suo primo gruppo, gli Aries, dove suona basso elettrico, chitarre acustica ed elettrica. Il loro sound progressive è simile a quello di Emerson Lake & Palmer. Più tardi suona in un altro gruppo locale, gli AFM.
A 25 anni Federico inizia la sua carriera solista. Da allora ha composto musica per varie performances teatrali, colonne sonore per brevi film in Italia, documentari e video istituzionali.
Ha compost la musica per un tributo al pittore Paul Klee e ha recentemente scritto colonne sonore per vari brevi film americani. I suoi primi tre dischi sono stati distribuiti in Italia e in Europa: ‘Federico Fasce’ (2001) con l’etichetta italiana Videoradio, che è stato primo per un mese nella classifica generale italiana di Vitaminic e per più di due mesi nella classifica generale britannica.
Nel 2002 esce ‘Antade’, segito nel 2003 dal cd ‘3’ . Il suo quarto cd ‘Winter Blossoms’ (2005) è stato il primo ad essere disponibile nel Nord America. Nell’Aprile 2006 esce ‘Images from the Past’, che è ’64 minuti di pura musica che rilassa e dà energia’ . Nel febbraio 2007 esce ‘Tales of the Desert Seas’, che racconta una storia attraverso un mix di Prog Rock, Classica e Ambient.
Il brano ‘Speed Limit’ viene incluso nella Rock Compilation cd del 2007 dell’organizzazione di raccolta fondi per la ricerca sul cancro ‘Indie Music for Life’. Collabora con la stessa organizzazione scrivendo le musiche di ‘The Hopeful Princess’, una favola per bambini, sempre con lo scopo di raccogliere fondi per la ricerca.
