About Me

Welcome to my MySpace page!! Thank you for stopping by! Great News!!! The new website is now up and running!!!!! The website is www.scotthallsongs.com!!! The reason I decided to have a MySpace is because I love music! My musical journey started back when I was 4 or 5. My Dad was a pastor and he would get me up in front of the church and do solo's! People would just smile and clap! Then in fourth grade I started takeing music. Songflute lessons! So I finally decided to play the clarinet! Concert band was a blast. We played Concerts and Festivals. During those years I set behind a piano and just played my heart out. Not till the age of 13 did I start playing in church. Live!! I was so scared. My brother showed me three chords on the bass and the rest is history! Once I built up my confidence, I jumped to the piano. As the years passed I played piano for many Gospel groups. Finally around 20 or 21 my Dad bought me my first Telecaster. I fell instantly in love. My Dad and brother we're both guitarist, so it was a natural progression for me. I ended up fronting 2 gospel bands. Singing and picking guitar solo's! My first Country Album I bought was Vince Gill's "When I Call Your Name". I'm so glad I did. Vince's voice and guitar playing was phenomenal!! The next album I bought was Ricky Skaggs "Live in London"! I loved Ricky's Country style and guitar playing! On Ricky's "Kentucky Thunder" album I heard a guitarist and I was like completely blown away! That guitar player was the great Albert Lee!! From that day on I started buying Cd's, books, and video's of Albert Lee. After that influence I heard a studio guitarist on Alan Jackson's "Don't Rock the Jukebox" and I was like, who is this? I opened the album insert and looked at the musicians credits. To my curiosity the name was Brent Mason! From that point on I tried to buy all the Cd's Brent played on! Albert Lee, Brent Mason, and my Dad Dennis Hall, are still today my biggest influences! In my late twenties I tried my hand at songwriting. The process came very easy to me. So I decided to go to Nashville, TN! Yee Haw!! This is where I recorded my first two albums! One album in Nashville and the other in Memphis, TN! I've been hooked every since! These two albums have opened many door's! I've been backstage at the Opry several times. Played the FedEx United Way Telethon in Memphis. Sung at Wild Bills at the Colgate Country showdown. Met many celebrities. My guitar is filled all over with many signatures! In 2008, I will hopefully release two albums. One being a instrumental album and the other being a third vocal album. When you have the time checkout my CD's on CdBaby.com! To listen to samples just click on the album cover. The samples can be streamed through Dial-up or Broadband!! Enjoy and buy a copy if you Love it!! The Titles are "It Takes Two Hearts To Make A Home" and "What's Next"! Skeet! Skeet! Please Add me I would love to be your friend!!! Love, Hugs, and Kisses!!
