Alex Priore (EP now available!)

About Me

In early 2008, Alex Priore brought a fresh new sound to the acoustic world of music. She took an old style of acoustic sounds and combined them with her innovative ideas for songs that would draw people to memories and images of their lives.
Alex Priore is a 19 year old singer songwriter from Virginia Beach, Virginia. With parents educated in the fields of divinity, counseling, education, and music, Alex absorbed a wealth of knowledge and talents to become a musician and entertainer beyond her years.
At eight years old, Alex began playing piano and then soon after picked up the acoustic guitar. During this time she also started singing and playing at church with the worship team and joined the Virginia children’s choir, both of which were a perfect training ground for her talents to grow with harmonies, improvisation, and playing multiple instruments. Throughout her childhood and into her teen years, Alex formed various bands that came and went with the seasons, but she has remained true to her passion as a musician and artist.
Alex has become an accomplished musician and vocalist with an acoustic sound that brings unforgettable melodies and memorable lyrics together into one harmony reflecting the soul. She now plays in the Virginia Beach area and around the country with guest musicians. Her 5-song EP was produced by Brooks Paschal and Pete Thornton at The Fort Studio in Winter Springs, Florida. This EP is now available on itunes.
As a songwriter with music in her blood from the time she was born, Alex believes that music is one of the most powerful ways to impact culture and invest in lives of all backgrounds. She believes that "music should be something that transcends culture and time. It should be more than catchy melodies. It should shoot right into the soul and move mountains."
