Orpheus - composed and played by Nikolaus

Orpheus is a mythological tale of returning to life after death. Music is the medium through which stones melt, abysses open up and glimpses into the soul are granted. Orpheus melts stones (hearts that had become like stone) and opens the underworld. Which love will be freed from captivity? Allegory, a woman, music?

Music for expressive Dance: Arlecchino for four dancers in four movements

Characters: Arlecchino, Pierrot, Colombine, Capitano

1 Opening dance
Pierrot meets Colombine, his secret love, and believes she is attracted to him. His fear that he might never be able to return the love of a another human being resurfaces. (The two dynamically expressive outer movements allow space for virtuosic dance.)
2 Pierrot & Colombine - pas de deux
Pierrot admits his love to Colombine, who is, however, hesitant.
3 Arlecchino's solo dance
4 Finale
Colombine secretly returns Pierrot's affection. Capitano woos her with pointed remarks and stories of his heroic deeds. However, Colombine remains a secure fortress. Arlecchino, having recognised the situation, trips up Capitano from behind in order to challenge him to a duel. Colombine ridicules Capitano whow makes a quick getaway whilst shouting contemptously. In the final trio the relationship between Pierrot and Colombine is strengthened.
