I'm a "classical" singer singing mostly opera and oratorio, but also lieder and contemporary music. I started singing at a very young age and like many teenagers I wanted to sing pop and rock, but decided to sing mostly classical after highscool. I love both genres but what made me finally decide was the beauty of opera and the possibility to be on stage and act as well as sing.
In my oppinion when all the components of opera such as good acting, excellent musicianship and interesting scenografi blends into one, its the most magic and powerful artform. I have completed The Music/performance Diploma at The Carl Nielsen Academy of Music, Odense and The Royal Opera-Academy, Copenhagen - Both in Denmark. During and after my studies, I've spend time abroad mostly in USA, England, Italy and Holland.
The opera repertoire include roles such as Adina in l'Elisir d'Amore, the titlerole in Alcina, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte, Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro and latest the titlerole in Madama Butterfly.
When I'm not singing productions or concerts I'm experimenting with songwriting with pianist Thomas Finsrud and teaching mainly young singers in both classical and pop/rock tecnique.
