Short and simple: (Visit Jennifer's website for full bio info) Pianist/Violinist/Composer from Seattle, Jennifer Thomas just released debut album, "Key of Sea" in December 2006. CD available via Jennifer's website, CDBaby.com, and Amazon.
Jennifer started playing the piano and violin at age 5, and went on to study piano at Brigham Young University. Jennifer won the silver medal in her university's concerto competition, performing Prokofiev's 3rd Piano Concerto. She was also invited to perform as a concerto soloist with Salt Lake City's Murray Symphony on the MacDowell Piano Concerto No 2. She has worked with the Seattle Symphony, participated with the Seattle Composer's Salon at Benaroya Hall, and was a featured soloist at the Roosevelt Hotel. Jennifer performed with the Salt Lake Temple Square Concert Series for 3 years, and has also performed with various symphonies including the Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra.
Jennifer began composing music in 2004, combining the sounds of her classical training with modern new age, pop, and down-tempo beats making her a perfect example of a classical crossover. Jennifer’s debut album Key of Sea has consistently remained in “Top 10” countdowns among new-age/contemporary radio stations across the U.S., and has captured the interest of filmmakers across the world. Jennifer’s music will be featured in 2 independent films in 2007, with future projects in the works. Jennifer plans to collaborate on her next album, and hopes to one day score a full length feature film.
Discography
Key of Sea (2006)
Classically-trained pianist and composer Jennifer Thomas introduces you to her innovative style of piano music in her debut album 'Key of Sea'. Featuring 13 of her own compositions and arrangements, Key of Sea invites the listener to take a journey to a place where classical and new age music dance together to create a blend that proves both beautiful and emotional. Showcasing instrumentals from full orchestra to laid back beats, this album is not your average "piano" album. Featuring solo artists violinist Carolyn Southworth, vocalist Erika Nisbet, and drummer Zak Dewey, 'Key of Sea' captures the hearts of listeners both young and old as Jennifer gracefully yet dynamically provides music you can melt into.

Review from Solo Piano Publications:
'“Key of Sea” is a stunning debut from pianist/composer/violinist Jennifer Thomas. Although it is very soothing, Thomas’ music packs a very powerful punch both musically and emotionally. Personally, I found it wonderful to wake up to rather than go to sleep with. Thomas’ technique is flawless and jaw-dropping in its precision and agility. From one pianist to another, wow!...“Key of Sea” is an awesome debut, and presents a very exciting beginning! Very highly recommended!" - Kathy Parsons, Solo Piano Publications
