BLUEGRASS... I dig the honky-tonk and especially the "Twang". My late father was a radio dj before he became a lawyer. But, he played alot of traditional bluegrass. As such, I dig it. Movies:
I'm down with alot of flics, but I don't like scary movies and weird b/w avante garde east german flics. Im cool with "chic flics", since I watch them with a lady. :) BUT, the Blues Brothers is the standard; You can NOT beat Cab Calloway, John Lee Hooker, James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles on the same flic! Chappelle's Block Party has nothing on Jake/Elwood. It's funny as hell with thee best cameos, cool threads, shades and great lines: "No ma'am...we're musicians."

Books:
I recently read a book on Hopi Spider Woman. I don't read much...If I do, I mostly read books on Navajo culture, Navajo history, dyes, natural colorants...I'm trying to read this book on string theory. I keep putting it off. It' a bit interesting in that I see alot of Navajo philosophy in it with it's dualism and at times, "mysterious" explanations other than "it just does that." It fiddles with physical and my interpreted "spiritual" existances seen from a purely science point of view. It's wickeddddddd.
Heroes:
Past leaders who prayed, offered and negotiated for what we enjoy nowadays.
