About Me

Gonzo Journalism? Forget that. We're gaucho journalists here at NAICA and if Hunter S. Thompson were still alive we would tell him to bite us, and he probably would, and we'd like it.

Winter 2008 is upon us and a new edition will be so shortly, like, end of January-maybe first of February?. You've waited this long may as well wait a little longer. Trust us, it's worth it!

In the meantime check out out Longviews for new blogs and podcasts. www.thenaica.org/wordpress

NAICA: Native American Indigenous Cinema and Arts is a (sometimes) seasonal online arts and film zine that showcases the contemporary works of Indigenous artists, film-makers and writers the world over.

You must have Flash 8 or higher to view video content.

My Interests

contemporary art, independent cinema, DIY artists doing it for themselves, philosophy of art, cool people with something interesting to say instead of the usual blather you hear every day.

People who know that waiting for something good is the best possible solution to accepting schlocky crap-crap.

I'd like to meet:

contemporary visual artists-Indigenous or otherwise, writers, producers, film-makers, publishers, publicists...anyone interested in the subject matter and then-some.

Music:

all kinds.

Movies:

no thank you.

Television:

don't have one.

Books:

How to Get Married After Forty and other such helpful tomes.

Heroes:

the NEA for granting our organization that $50,000 dollar grant we have yet to write!

My Blog
