Adriel Azure and his Dream Indigo Orchestra

Nostalgialiciously sublime!

About Me

Inspired by those golden days when a Jazz age dance orchestra's ever-changing line-up was full of surprise guests. Their artful vocal and instrumental arrangements put a fresh spin on old favorites as well as lesser known gems. The music is all acoustic. It is both vocal and instrumental. Styles span the time period of the 1900 to the late 1940s. This is jazz as well as other related nostalgia styles (hot and gypsy jazz, delta and jump blues, swing, bigband, rag time, tango, latin, dixieland, klezmer, Hawaiian, Italian French, etc.). Group size is flexible and can go from a quartet to a large dance orchestra. This can include but, is not limited to; steel guitar, guitar, cello, violin, reeds (sax, clarinet, etc.), brass (trumpet, trombone), bass, percussion, ukulele, accordion and triple female harmony vocals. Equally at home in a burlesque, vaudeville or wholesome family event. Emphasis is placed on the providing of music for dancers (swing, tango, etc.) as well as theater style dance performances. Musical and show content are tooled towards a venue and an audience's makeup. Imagine the atmosphere of a speakeasy, the roaring 20s, the prohibiton era 30s or WWII 40s. There is no act quite like this in the area as the instrumentation is varied and goals are authenticity as well as putting on a show. This ensemble is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a song in your heart.
