------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------- ENGLISH VERSIONWelcome to the wonderful world of the Coyotes! The year 1987 in the town of Clermont-Ferrand in central France marked the birth of Coyote pups, whose members all came out of the mythical bands thriving in the Clermont-Ferrand at the beginning of the Eighties.Dominique Auger, a singer from the band Rocky Gordini & Tractions Avant (literally the “Front-Wheel Drivers†), Christophe Rivet, a double bass player who played first with Rock Therapy and later with Arvern Boppers, Joel Rivet, a guitarist and singer, who had performed with the Pale Riders and finally Franck Veysseire, another guitarist in Rock Therapy (the same guys as above). This howling pack broke loose in Auvergne (Central France) and burned its own home-made brand of Rockabilly into the local music scene on hand-played and hand-crafted wood instruments only!Joel left the band after a very short stint to be replaced by a whole string of guitarists, the most outstanding of whom were Jacques Moiroud, Jack Daumail and Christophe Adam. It was in 1992 that Daniel Larbaud, the guitarist of Chemist & Kids joined the Coyotes, and he is still with us today. In 1989 Rémy Chaptal, an accordionist and harmonica player came into the group. As the years went by, he tried to bring other instruments to the forefront, such as the violin and the mandolin, but although it has proved difficult to fit these instruments in, he still plays with us today.Christophe Rivet also left the band in 1991 and it was a young musician called Dominique Rollot, the bass player of Shit for Brains, who took over. Dominique, who attended his first concert with Rock Therapy (them again!) in 1982 in Aubière a small town outside Clermont, is still thumping and stomping out the rhythm today for us, on his double bass. Then in 1992, Fred Mabrut, a guitarist from Rock Therapy and the Arvern Boppers (them again and again!), joined the Coyotes, initially to stand in as lead guitarist. As soon as Daniel joined the pack, Fred was able to sit behind his favourite instrument, the pedal steel guitar. So here you have a wrap-up of the 20 years that the Coyotes have been howling and growling in the French equivalents of backwater honky-tonks and bars.
Many thanks to all those who have listened to us, “stood the sight and sound of us†and taken the “gut†consequences of their consistent commitment. Our thoughts and repeated thanks go out to every single one of you.
Thank you one and all yet again! Profile Edit By Myspace Profile Editor
