The Deathrock Canada Meet-Up Group is a new platform and a place to meet for Old school goths, Deathrockers, Batcavers, Positivepunk, Post-punkers, Deathpunks/Darkpunks or friendly related interests who's live in Canada.
Of course, people from other countries are welcome as well.
We host and organise quality live shows and gigs / Events from time to time.
We are mainly into Death Rock, Gothic Rock, Bat Cave, Post Punk.
We also dig Goth-a-Billy, Horror Punk,Trad Goth, Psychobilly, Death Punk/DarkPunk, Positive Punk, Grave, Old school Industrial, Tribal punk, Newwave/New Romantic, Minimal, No wave, Dark Cabaret, Alternative.
Our goal is to promote deathrock all across Canada and help quality bands gain the status and exposure they deserve. We hope to encourage others to discover or re-discover the music and the real roots of goth sub-culture.
We do lisent to every bands that add us,We work with promoters such as radio shows and DJs, and it would be a pleasure to help promote your band (as long it fits into the genres above). No racist, sexist, fascist, or homophobic bands or promoters will be tolerated!For more info - or any bands who will like to play at Canada dont hesitate to drop us an email!
Absolutely NO techno, future pop, EBM, IDM, Nu-metal or whatever-you-wanna-call-it "beepy" music that *passes* for "goth" these days.
There is enough of that all over the clubs and in the mainstream, so we don't need to bring it here.
It's been said before and I'll say it again: DEATHROCK IS NOT THE SAME AS DEATH METAL!!!
