Ideology and aesthetics turn heavily with the centuries, creating new open spaces of doubt, fear, and imagination meant for artists to fill. Artists facing these open horizons must bear the curse of reshaping [sub]culture, in ways they don't always control.
At this juncture, A Spectre Is Haunting Europe has assumed the unenviable task of putting art and catharsis into a new dark music. The price? Unabashed honesty, unsettling tawdriness, high drama, and the blackest humour imaginable.
