Cemetery Whispers wasn't always known as such. Jen and Roxanne where formerly playing as Vermin, playing more simplistic music and playing an occasional backyard show. When their Guitarist had left they were on hiatus. When Xaphan had approached them about starting a band, The Graveyard Shift was born. They started writing music, with one element missing. A singer was clearly needed. After trying a few singers with no luck Jen was going to take over vocals. Xaphan had been talking to an old friend and asked her if she would like to try out for vocalist. With Phabiola now on vocals they were a complete band. The name was later changed to Cemetery Whispers. Cemetery Whispers is a deathrock band from the Los Angeles area. They are influenced by great bands such as Christian Death, Bauhaus, The Germs and 45grave, to name a few.
