D. J. Maikito & The Latin Train

The best in Afro-Cuban radio!

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Mike Bongard began "The Latin Train" on June 7, 1997 with the goal of sharing his love for Latin and especially Afro-Cuban music with a new audience in Ottawa. During now over 11 years he has highlighted the best in Latin jazz, salsa, timba and Cuban son, featuring groups and individual artists from Canada, the United States, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia and many European countries. Many artists have been featured in phone or in-studio interviews and all have had the chance to broaden their Canadian exposure here in Ottawa at CHUO 89.1 FM and around the world via the Internet at www.chuo.fm. Broadcasts take place every Saturday evening from 8-10 p.m. EST/EDT.
