About Me

On piano, Danny Green is a well accomplished player who is equally versed in Classical, Latin and Jazz styles. Starting his musical studies at the young age of 5, Danny went on to pursue a B.A. in piano performance at UCSD, where he graduated with honors and won the Jimmy Cheatham Jazz Award. Since then, he has been playing both as a leader and a sideman with some of San Diego’s top musicians. As a prolific composer and arranger, Danny brings a unique sound to his groups that is enjoyed by fans worldwide. In January 2006, Danny released his first album, “Past Due,” featuring nine of his compositions and arrangements. He currently leads the Danny Green Trio (Brazilian and Latin Jazz), co-leads Gente Fina (Salsa, Samba, Latin Dance music), and performs with platinum recording artist Quino McWhinney."Past Due" is available for purchase...
