Established in 2001, Mr Wolfs in Bristol, UK, has quickly become recognised as the citys' best small live music venue. A family business that really cares about music, Mr Wolfs' promotes some of the hottest talent from the South West and beyond, presenting a challenging rosta of bands, solo artists and even occassionally comedy. Live Music most nights a week means all sorts of acts pass through our doors, from rock to dub, to folk, jazz, blues, electronica and allsorts inbetween - Mr Wolf and his team expect musical excellence and a hearty performance, and this is reflected in some of the many great bands who play here and nowhere else in the city! Every Wednesday Night sees an open mic, to our knowledge unique in the country in that four comperes MC the proceedings on rotation, each with their own style and charisma. The 1st of each month is hosted by Rosie B, whose soulful, gutsy blues band rip through songs both old and new. The 2nd sees 'Poetic Licensee' Jonah Flatfoot of the infamous Zen Hussies host with his larger than life jazz-me-blues voice and house band Jockeywheel makin' whoopee in an 'open musical cabaret'. The 3rd has Paul Tricks and his awesomely tight band The Consequences tear it up with good old fashioned guitar rock n roll, and on the fourth Julie Djute raises the roof with her huge voice and soulful brand of song. Each of these nights invites you musicians to get up there and show us what you are made of!!!!
