About Me

Growing up in a dilapidated seaside town at the foothill of a mountain in north Wales, Rebecca Jade abandoned school at 14, studied performance art and fully immersed herself in guitar playing and song- writing. Having decamped to London for almost a decade, her songs are infused with melancholy and melodrama: reflecting a wayward rural childhood and adolescence, and the ramshackle existence and experiences of the city.
Her co-conspirator is keyboard wizard Matt Jones. Live, he wrestles orchestras from a Casiotone and pulls off solo’s on a melodica, as well as singing lush vocal harmonies.
On these recordings Matt also plays piano, Stu and Scott play bass and drums on Be My And Port and A Fraud A Guizer and A Fool, and Gordon Raphael plays hammond and wurlitzer on The Dawn.
RJ and MJ would like a drummer and bassist to join them on a more permanent basis, and possibly a flautist/ saxophonist, or a violin player too...
Rebecca Jade is also a singer and percussionist in the girl group, Citizen Helene & The Racists (don’t ask...!) There are a few lovely gigs coming up so do have a look at the profile below. RJ also DJ’s under the alias The Lost Chord of Atlantis.
Matt Jones writes his own music to be found below as Suspected Benefit Claimant. He is a composer and also plays for Jamie T.
All gigs listed are as a duo unless otherwise prefixed with a SOLO tag
