“Live stands out from the crowd. Well worth checking out Midlanders six piece, with the blend of funk, rap and R&B. There’s something for many on this – their second LP - recorded at gigs in London and that noted capital of funk Perranporth. It’s often party-centric stuff, but that’s sometimes all you need!†– Angus Batey of Mojo.
“… Cantaloop’s fusion of funk and hip-hop pitches itself in a territory bounded by the free form jams of Phish and the social awareness of The Specials, tinged with the spacious blues of Eric Bibb and the dive bombing rap ‘n’ scratch of Senser. Live, recorded live (obviously), shows that their hearts are closer to funk than either jazz or straight forward rock, though they manage to combine all three with aplomb…†– Fela Lewis of Logo.
“Cantaloop’s debut [Resensitize] hits you with immediate effect. The optimistic atmosphere of this album will make you feel good for no particular reason at all and any band that can do that has to get bigged up.†– Russell Myrie of Blues and Soul.
“Cantaloop’s Resensitize takes hip-hop to fresh modern extremes, distinguishing itself from the stale and altogether mundane music we have come to expect in the wake of Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Doggy Dog.†– Colm Farry of MMII Observer UCD.
“… Sounds like the funky underground Volume 2.†– 7 Magazine.
“A storming soundtrack to sweaty dance floor action or a pass the rizla chillout session, this is the perfect solution to super club overkill.†– Best of British from the British Phonographic Industry/Virgin Mega stores USA.
“Saw you in Holland! In the Hague on Monday and then again in Paradiso on Thursday. You guys are awesome and I sure wish you will play the Dutch stages again soon! Good parties backstage and at the Bitterzoet! Sorry we had to leave so early. Take care!†– Thera.
“Saw the show in Tillburg yesterday and was very impressed. Listening to the CD at work right now and it’s helping me ease into the workday. Keep it up!â€
“Just seen Cantaloop supporting FLC at Nottingham Rock City. Was mightily impressed – you guys rock! Def being buying your CD soon.†– Hig
“Hey. Saw you at Rock City at Nottingham, and tell you the truth, I thought there was not better support band for the Fun Lovin’ Criminals. Thanks for a crackin’ gig.†– Lee Carney.
“Saw you in St. Albans supporting FLC. Amazing grooves and a great stage presence. Bought your CD too. Keep it up.†– Allan.
“Saw you in Manchester supporting FLC, and I vaguely remember wrecking your heads after the gig! This message is to apologise for that! Been listening to your CD all week, and I still say you were as good as FLC, if not better.â€
“You guys were great last night in Groningen!! You rock!†– Hanna.
“Saw you yesterday as a warm-up for the FLC. Great gig fellows! Did you like us singing ‘Happy Birthday’?†– Delano.
