About Me

I'm a complete music freak - have been since I was 6 years old and started to play the violin. I've never looked back. I not only listen to music, but play a fair bit myself. I don't know what the hell else to say on this thing, but if you want to know more, just message me.To give you a bit of an idea about me, if you don't like Bill Hicks, then we won't get along. This man made me laugh, cry and think deeply. The world is a poorer place without him.And the man who I'd have most liked to meet - Mr. Keith Moon (Dear Boy!). I wish I'd been about 20 in 1970...I SO would have LOL! However, never mind that! He was, in my opinion, the best rock drummer I have ever heard in my entire life (and I pay attention to drummers). The picture quality of this clip isn't the best, actually neither is the sound quality, but you get the idea! To be fair, it WAS 1969. The Who were playing Tommy in opera houses (this one is the London Coliseum) to get a better live sound quality for the audience, although the lighting was pants, to say the least! Fantastic gig though. I still can't quite believe that various opera houses let THE WHO in their front doors LOL! I'm lucky enough to have it on DVD, and they were awesome that night. And here is a perfect example of The Who in perfect synchronicity on The Rolling Stones Rock n Roll Circus. Apparently the Stones didn't want to release this footage as The Who utterly kicked their arses! I love these guys! :-)The Who's concert at the Isle of Wight festival in 1970 was probably the best performance of theirs caught on film with regard to film quality. Performance quality was pretty bloody good too - though Live at Leeds was better in my opinion - I just wish it was available on film. I suspect Pete Townshend has a copy in his vaults somewhere - release it Pete - pretty please!!! Moon, Townshend and Entwistle seem to be almost telepathic when they play. At this time they'd been out touring Tommy all over the place and were absolutely FUCKING INCREDIBLE.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I had a thought the other day about a "Dream Team" that I'd like to sit down and have a chat with over dinner and possibly an alcoholic beverage or two. Now, some of these people are dead, but in the world of make-believe that doesn't matter, so go with it, OK?Right, here goes: Keith Moon, Bill Hicks, Oliver Reed, Frank Zappa, Stephen Fry, Graham Chapman, Rick Wakeman, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, Roger Daltrey, Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robert Rodriguez. I'm sure there's more...but this is all I can think of at present (mind you, that's more than enough to be going on with). Obviously there is no way I'd cook for that many people, so I'm guessing take-away pizza and a shed load of booze! It'd be fun though. Although if I could place an 'order' for Keith Moon from about 1969, I'd probably jump on him and drag him off to my boudoir - a bit tedious for the other guests, as it wouldn't really be a spectator sport - despite Keith's penchant for exhibitionism LOL!
