About Me

Having attained a degree in journalism and just finished a 'year-off' being a Bar Manager in my hometown of Leicester, I have now made the move 'west-side' across the Midlands to Birmingham - now residing with my girlfriend and pursuing a career in Journalism. I currently write for the publication '69 Magazine' (the UK’s biggest free entertainment and listings magazine) and have had a diverse array of editorial published; including features, interviews, previews and reviews - please check my blogs for my published pieces. If you're interested in my work and need any editorial producing then please don't hesitate to contact me via myspace or alternatively email me ([email protected]). Not content with just writing, I also have a massive passion for music; I am part of a Midlands-based music collective entitled 'Innerzone'. An expressive umbrella that represents and unites the creative vanguard of The Midlands, Innerzone is a pioneering continuum of inspiring minds that are injecting a much-needed dose of quality and diversity to the area's nightlife. With a positive mantra of always looking forward and to constantly evolve, we've just booked our first international DJ guest appearance - Detroit native and legend Rick Wilhite - which isn't just a coup for Leicester but the whole of the Midlands. On a personal level I love to DJ too, and will play when time permits, bookings occur or just for a proper illegitimate house-party fuelled with a riotous cacophany of raucous. My vinyl-buying is a comprehensive and exhaustive affair, with my tastes encompassing a multitude of genres - though I especially love anything DEEP, any material influenced by DISCO and any material straight outta DETROIT!!!

My Interests

DJing, travelling, snowboarding, reading, writing, world-cinema, primates, koalas, emperor penguins.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who has a unique aura about them and can actually stimulate me mentally.
