About Me

Hi,I’ve been writing for years, and I currently have three novels completed and several others started. Jenny’s Legacy is my first published novel. It's available from Amazon . Search for it using the ISBN: 1-59414-433-8
I write with a collection of angels, butterflies, and dolphins arrayed around my computer. One of my most prized possessions is a tiny silk rose in a hand-carved wood vase that is more than 60 years old. I’ve chosen to use a red rose as my motif.
My writing is usually done in the early morning hours. It’s cold and dark at 5:00 a.m., so I don’t make it every day, but I try.
I believe in reincarnation, which is good, because I have more stories than I can possibly tell in one lifetime!
As Cassandra Barnes, I write fiction. As Sandra Smith, I write non-fiction. I've had dozens of magazine articles published over the years.
Other places you can find me are:

One of these days, I'll start getting up another hour earlier and get a blog started.

My Interests

My current loves are my husband of more than 20 years, my feline twins, the little dog I rescued from the pound, Reiki, herbalism, coffee with my friends, and quantum physics. And chocolate. Anything chocolate!

Music:

I listen mostly to classical and New Age music, spiced up now and then with a little jazz or Broadway show tunes.

Movies:

I'd rather read the book! And for finding good books, check out the Five Star Author's group right here on MySpace. There, you can find direct links to sample works from the great Thomson Gale/Five Star authors (including me!) representing all genres.FIVE STAR AUTHOR GROUP

Television:

Never watch it.

Books:

I am a knowledge junkie, which makes me a voracious reader. I’m intrigued by the way the world, including the people living in it, works, and I read about 10 non-fiction books for every one fiction book read.I often have more than one book going at a time.

Heroes:

All those involved in animal welfare, as well as those helping abused children.
