My real interest is reading fiction. It doesn't call for high maintenance. I don't have to remember to water them or feed them. I don't have to lavish time and attention on them. More, they keep me entertained, and if I cannot go to sleep, I have a trusty few that works better than sleeping pills.
Friends! Old friends and NEW friends. I'd like to make many, many new friends here on MySpace.
I'd like to connect with people who share my interests, who enjoy the same things I do:
I read a lot, mostly fiction, especially historical fiction, women's fiction, historical saga. I also read romances, westerns, thrillers and mysteries too.
I like people who enjoy the same old old songs/music of yesteryears and movies--classics as well as the box office hits of today.
I also love people with an attitude. I wish I could be as confident to have one too! And I surely admire people who champion causes.
Most of all, I'd like to meet readers and discuss books. If you happen to have read my book, I would love to hear from you.
I'm not here to promote anybody else's products. Promote your products on your page, and be friends with me.
I love music, especially lyrical music with vocals, where I can hear the words, where the words are not offensive, just corny. I like to listen and sing along.
I love the ones they categorise as "drama". I love those that make me weep buckets. Comedy is great, but not the "slapstick" stuff. I enjoy westerns, and sci-fi too.
There isn't much to interest me on television these days. I'd rather read fiction for entertainment.
I like bestselling novels -- i.e. popular or mainstream fiction. I'm happy to follow the herd. If so many people love a bestselling book, I reckon "so many people" cannot be wrong! These readers have done me a favour by vetting the novels for me.
I have enjoyed books by Nelson de Mille, Judith McNaught, James Clavell, Edna Ferber, Lloyd Douglas, Jennifer Fallon, David Gemmell, Georgette Heyer etc. -- in no particular order.
