About Me

Jennifer Elliott completed her first novel VODKA FOUR, which is in the process of being published (yah!). VODKA FOUR focuses on one (Heather) of five friends who live in the great state of Wisconsin. Jennifer is currently working on the second book in the series, A THOUSAND YELLOW DAISIES.
Jennifer has the rest of the series mapped out in her mind ... it's just a matter of time of her sitting her butt down at the computer and writing fantastic and inspiring "chick lit." What Jennifer does to avoid writing is watching her favorite TV shows, renting movies, shopping for things she does not need, calling her friends and sisters, and working on other hobbies that really don't need her attention (scrapbooking and crocheting).
Jennifer lives in the great state of Wisconsin, but please don't mistake her for a Green Bay Packer fan ... because she's not. Although she lives in Wisconsin, she grew up in Minnesota and therefore is a loyal Minnesota Viking fan. Jennifer believes she can be a fan even when she can't name any players on the team. That also holds true for the St. Louis Cardinals ... she will always be a loyal and dedicated fan as she grew up loving the Cardinals. To this day, Tony Pena will always be her favorite baseball player of all time.

VODKA FOUR
HEATHER KINCANNON knows all the "love" cliches by heart. Love will hit you when you least expect it. When you learn to love yourself, then everything else will fall into place. Blah blah blah. She was a cliche herself - smart, sexy, and still single. Heather hasn't been looking for love since her last failed relationship, and she loves her life as a single 29-year-old woman, who is surrounded by fantastic friends and family and is adored by two faithful cats.
Heather's close friends — Rory, Cat, Lily, and Hera — know she's a romantic at heart but is afraid of being hurt and disappointed. Too many failed relationships have taught Heather to rely only on herself and those closest to her. And in her experience, even the most charming men are still able to hurt and disappoint her.
A girls' night out leads Heather to live up to her party nickname in college, Vodka Four. When a familiar song plays, she finds herself performing a drunken but fully clothed striptease and unexpectedly hooking up with a familiar face. When Heather enters familiar territory called dating, she has to face her past as a party girl, deal with feelings for an ex-boyfriend, examine her so-called perfect life, and recognize her unknown insecurities.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

God. He and I need to sit down and chat sometime, because I've got some questions for him. People who read my books, or people who read books in general. People who like cats. I'd also like to meet people who aren't mean because MEAN PEOPLE SUCK!

Music:

I love all types of music ... anything from Top 40 to country to R&B to almost anything.

Movies:

I love movies ... everything from action adventure to political thrillers (I feel so smart when I actually understand what's going on) to comedy to chick flicks to dramas. I like a good horror movie, but I have to watch it in the comfort of my home so I can fast forward through the suspenseful and scary parts.

Television:

Current TV programming includes Brothers and Sisters, How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls, Lost, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, My Name is Earl, The Office, and Scrubs.
All-time favorite TV programming includes Deadwood, Sex and the City, Friends, Firefly, Greg the Bunny, and Arrested Development.

Books:

I like a good mystery novel ... one that makes me want to jump to the end of the book to figure out who did it. I like to read "chick lit" books that will entertain me. I don't want to know who the heroine is going to fall for just by reading the summary. I want a good storyline and strong, flawed, and realistic characters.
