Bodhran Player & One of the Singers With Celtic Group "Out Of Alba"

About Me

My Interests

Growing up in Dublin I played drums for a few bands. The last band I played with in Dublin was called "Dirty Tricks" played some great gigs,We used to play Slatterys every thursday for about 3 months supporting the Brian Downey Band(Thin Lizzy Drummer) and we Played at the Fox & Phesant every Saturday night (Both on Capel Street) love all music styles, after moving to Canada in 89 I lost touch with music until I met the Lads from the Stoaters in Vancouver and they would let me Jam with them, Moving then to northern BC. I lost all contact with any musical friends so this led me to try and master the bodhran I brought with me as a momento and after almost 16 years I'm still trying to master it............But ....Thats okay! Have been wacking with Out Of Alba now for 14 years and was invited to play on two tracks on the Album "Pride" by Simon Collins, along side the Legendary "Phil Collins". . also supported Ashley Mac'Issac and the very powerful MR. Martyn Joseph on several occaisions(aldo.....the gig with ashley was...well you had to be there ..oh and juno winner Marcel Gagon.I also toured parts of Canada with the Irish rovers.Love Music / Life and My Wife Julie, ALSO ,Lukas new DVD, THE MAN IS ALIVE, Luka if your there , Briliant. I have watched the disc So many Times and it is Awsome,I really like "Don't be Afraid of the Light"Love all your albums,,,,,,,, Barry Moore years, Riverside , Salty Heaven, Turf,Amsterdam, Keeper of the Flame,Innocence,Between the mountain and the moon, Tribe , Acoustic Moterbike, Before sleep comes. And I got the Live @ Port Fairy Show dont have a favorite as it depends on the mood, Hopefully I will meet the man one day,I saw him in Vancouver in 1989 at the Rouge Folk club , great show I was new to Canada at the time and for some reason did'nt go over to him for a chat at the end of the show,I think I was too Irish if you know what I mean? Maybe I will bump into him in Doolin this September at a little session when I go home for a trip?????also like messing around on the myspace ,,,Looking for new music and styles
