Formed at the top end of 2008 by four of Newcastle’s most in demand young traditional musicians. TSSC are a multi award winning folk-music powerhouse coupling deep Irish music resonances with an urgent and vital modernity which few can parallel.
Between them the band have been winners and finalists of: BBC Fame Academy, BBC Folk Award, Horizon Folk Award and numerous instrumental titles in the UK and Ireland. As well as playing, touring and recording with Kathryn Tickell, Jez Lowe, Liz Carroll, Luke Daniels, Liz Docherty, Karen Tweed, Brian Finnegan, Alistair Anderson and many, many more.
