July 12th '08 sees Dublin born singer/songwriter Alyanya launch her long-awaited debut album 'Spirit' in the intimate surroundings of Crawdaddy. Prior to this, Alyanya has studied in Newpark School of Jazz, toured the US and Europe with Luka Bloom, not to mention playing alongside Declan O'Rourke, John Spillane and Christy Moore.
It's no surprise that her music has earned so much praise in this country already. 'Spirit' is a warm, soothing and uplifting collection of acoustic folk pop songs, recorded in four days in a converted church. Alyanya's effortless voice seams these messages of truth, love and awareness together into a very special body of work.
