About Me

Most people call me "T". Music is my LIFE. I've played a little of everything, but my passion lies with my guitar. I do have a full time job working for a software development company dead set on world domination. However, when I'm not doing that, I focus on the music. Lately I have been working more on the business side of things.....promotions, marketing, managing, event organizing, etc etc. I love to network and meet different musicians. Over the past couple years I have met many bands across Canada, and have had the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented musicians....so much great talent we have here!! I would like to have my own music company one day. I get a personal satisfaction from helping out other talented bands as much as I can. Being from a smaller city with a tight knit music scene(Saskatoon), you can never expect anyone to go all out and support you unless you do the same. It should never be a competition, as we all are just doing what we love. I enjoy learning new things about music, and the industry, as it is a never ending learning process.
Currently, I am working exclusively with one of Saskatchewan's top recording acts, Hurricane Cletis
. I always have a few projects on the go, but am happy to help out any band when the time permits. I am also a band merchandise extrodanairre...or Saskatoon's 'merch chick', and have helped out bands such as Default, The Trews, Matt Dusk, State of Shock, Swollen Members, Grady, Thornley, Hurst, Idle Sons, 5440, Gwar, Jakalope, the Birthday Massacre, and many others in their Saskatoon stops. I'm also looking to get out on the road as a merch gal, or intern tour manager.
I am also an active member of the MMF (Music Manager's Forum) which gives me the opportunity to learn from of the industy's top heavy-weights. I credit much of what I have learnt to some of those that have guided me and believed in me from day one.
Besides being a diehard music lover, I'm a pretty nice person...most days! I take the music business very seriously. But, just like any 20-something, I like to wear my party hat. I don't care if you don't like me. I don't have time for stupidity or a lack of common sense. I don't play games. I'm very blunt. I say it like it is. I'm confident. I'm outspoken. I'm witty. I don't depend on others to make me happy. I'm friendly. I'm flirty. I'm my own person.

Ok. Maybe it's just today that I'm a little bit irritated.  I very rarely get angry, so I'll blame it on the moon or something.  But today I'm feeling irritated.  I'm so tired of people...

So far 2008 has been a great year.  I said last year was ''my year'', and though it was, there were a few things that set me back.  If there weren't some ups and downs, I would be worried.&n...
