WYATT...this is rock country.
Ride along the gritty edge of rock to the heart of country and you’ll find yourself moving with WYATT in Rock Country. WYATT an original, high-energy 4-piece band from Saskatoon, amps up the sound of progressive country bands like Emerson Drive and Doc Walker and grounds it with the depth and groove of Tom Petty. It’s old school southern rock combined with the big and rich vocal flavours of Bon Jovi and Rascal Flats.
WYATT performances treat fans every time by showcasing great songs with their dynamic stage show. Together, singer-guitarists Scott Patrick and Daniel Fortier, drummer Bray Hudson and bassist Cam Ewart have a commanding onstage chemistry that instantly turns audiences into fans.
In 2007 WYATT released their debut original independent record “Hard Roadâ€. The album collides with the universal themes of loving, losing, and living and is chock-full of infectious tunes including "This Town", "I Don’t Mind", “Like We Belong†and the title track "Hard Roadâ€.
WYATT turned heads with the release of their album, then with performances at JUNOFEST and Canadian Country Music Week. Landing a management deal with Kathalene Stearns, manager for Willie Mack, the boys were launched into national notoriety. WYATT made their first Nashville trip in November of 2007 where they worked alongside some of the music industries finest including Ole Publishing, Tim Taylor and Willie Mack in preparation for their first industry released album which is already creating waves of anticipation.
2008 has been a whirlwind year for the boys and it’s only just begun; Ringing in the New Year with Aaron Pritchett, sharing the stage with Jason Aldean, jamming and receiving kudos from Grammy Nominees Emerson Drive and John Rich (Big & Rich) in Regina. The band has also nabbed 2 accolades for ‘Group of the Year’ and ‘Rising Star’ at the 2008 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.
With this kind of momentum, WYATT’s up-coming album release may just be the icing on the cake.
strap on your boots, hold onto your hats and let WYATT welcome you to the world of ROCK COUNTRY!
