About Me

I was born in Saskatoon, Sask. I move to Vancouver to go to theater school when I was 19. I saw an add in the Georgia Straight for a band looking for a singer. I figured I could fake it since I had done musical theater. I rode the bus for 2 hours to get to my rehearsals. We broke up after our first show. I started writing my own songs and I started my own band called Amandasonic. We put out an indie album called "Poor Little Things". It was recorded in my living room. I was nominated for best independant female by the Georiga Straight Music Awards. I didn't win though. We continued to play around town and the West coast. Fast forward I found myself in Los Angeles, where I met Paperboy Jack. We recorded an album together called "Room 13". (that was the number on our rehearsal room door, Nuno Bettencourt shared the room with us!!) We quit our jobs, moved out of our homes, put our stuff in storage bought a bis ass van and hit the road so we could tour full-time. We lived on the road for a year. It's a long story but we broke up. I'm back home in Canada working on my first solo album. I also dj at the best rock station in the land. Check out www.thewolfrocks.com
