Glasgow born Drummer/Composer/Singer, and to a certain degree pianist and guitarist Jim Whyte, has performed in a variety of musical situations. From Brass Bands, Jazz, Rock, Gospel and Gamelan to T.V, Radio and Theatre.
A post Graduate of the 'Guildhall School of Music and Drama' London, Jim is a multi-faceted artist
with an instinctive approach to performance and composition.
He has worked and recorded with the legendary saxophonist/composer Stan Sulzman, has worked with Julian Seigal, Anita Wardell, and has performed on the London, Manchester and Glasgow jazz scenes with a number of wonderful musicians.
Jim was a guest on Radio Scotland's 'Jazzhouse' in August 2007. He recently completed a short British tour with his latest ensemble 'Sonic Butterfly'in 2008, featuring some excellent Scottish musicians, and recently recorded his debut album soon to be available
