I play a very big saxophone. Sometimes I play smaller ones but they're not as much fun :). I also play clarinet and flute (and have just bought a bass clarinet, very exciting) - just greedy i guess! I'm a freelancer and try to go by the old saying 'variety is the spice of life'. A cliche I know, but sometimes cliches are true...
Amongst other things (theatre, residencies with djs, classical groups, hosting an acoustic night, recording, arranging, teaching, blah blah blah) I've worked with several fellow myspacers: as a founding member of funk band Oddjob;
ODDJOB
"ODDJOB was born in 2005 through a love of funk. Mixing the grooves of the late 60s/70s, afrobeat and latin/caribbean carnival rhythms (and a hint of flamenco and balkan gypsy), ODDJOB's world-funk brew is designed to wipe out the worries of modern life and make you dance! So polish your dancing shoes and get ready...."

with the funky soul (or soulful funk) of Elia; improvising with members of Highby9 and dj Tony Montana (but not at the same time!); in the horn section for the the lovely mr Sam Semple and with independent hiphop producers Hero, 84Fresh and Masta Conga to name a few.
I was also lucky enough to work with the fantastic German/Indian group Taal Tantra in Kolkata in 2005, and more recently to play at the Jam'Sahel 2007 in Paris, run by Cheik Tidane (www.jamsahel.org) - both amazing experiences and steep learning curves!.
And if you like jamming, check out Phat Phrequency's sessions for funk and Sunday Cypha for MCs and DJs (and the odd instrumentalist)... Go have a listen, and enjoy the music!
