Madaleine Pritchard

Madaleine studied music formally and achieved a first class honours degree from The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.As both a lead and backing vocalist, she has toured the world extensively and across a wide spectrum of musical settings, including the USA, Canada, Europe, parts of Africa and The United Arab Emerates. She has performed onstage with and supported the following bands and artists: Jethro Tull, The Commitments, Al Green, Dr.John, The Average White Band, Horse, Perrier Award winning jazz vocalist Niki King, ROSCO, The Everything Treatment, Edwin Starr and Alice Russell. She has appeared at world renowned venues such as The House Of Blues in Chicago and LA, Niagara Falls Stage Canada, BB King’s New York, The Jazz Café, London and Naima Jazz Club, Italy. Madaleine also works regularly as a session vocalist for Rage Music (www.ragemusic.co.uk) which was founded by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award winning film composer Paul Leonard-Morgan.As a songwriter, Madaleine's influences include Prince, Lewis Taylor, Betty Davis, Nikka Costa, Tingsek and Stevie Wonder. This coupled with Madaleine’s own unique sound and insatiable energy results in a powerful mix of styles and cultures. Positive whilst introspective. Driving and funky. Sensitive yet empowering.Madaleine’s debut album “Every Minute” will be released early spring 2008.
