I am an aspiring actress who has been sprinting the office treadmill for years and years for necessities like food and shelter but the heart and soul of me is a frustrated...actress, photographer, designer, glass artist, dancer, singer, journalist, writer, musician, painter...[yes - indecisive is my middle name!]Trained to be a dancer at the scottish ballet's dance school of scotland until age 17, when a sustained injury halted my career plans permanently... aye, I was one of those god awful theatrical kids that jumped about singing, dancing and generally doing everyone's nut in with my performing antics ... life more or less fell to pieces at that point and i was torn between whether to try to pursue music or art as a possible alternative... whilst training to be a dancer i also studied the flute and singing but decided to follow the visual art route and went on to study at Glasgow School of art... then specialising in architectural glass at glasgow college of building and printing... after this, i won an award for glass painting in london from the worshipful company of master glass painters in 2002, which lead me on to living in Somerset and working across the South of England restoring 800 year old medieval glass... i have been back in glasgow for quite a few years now and am now trying to earn pennies as a freelance photographer, sometimes working for the press, but mainly trying to pursue my dream of being a theatrical actress, it's not easy ..................you can view my (somewhat out of date) daily photo journal at www.blipfoto.com......some of my glasswork is illustrated on Scotland's Stained Glass website...
