About Me

Lorna is a jazz saxophonist based in Cambridge, UK. Lorna graduated with a BA (Hons) in Applied Music from Strathclyde University in 2000. During her degree Lorna studied both jazz and classical saxophone. She now focuses on jazz saxophone, leading her jazz quartet and also performing regularly with a range of other bands. In addition she has made appearances in television and theatre productions.

When not playing saxophone, Lorna works full time as a Researcher in Human Computer Interaction and teaches Computer Science.

Band Members: Over the years, Lorna has worked with many great UK musicians including:Stuart Gorman (guitar), Stuart Brown (drums), Billy Kettle (drums), Patrick Davey (drums), Andy Sharkey (bass), John Spiers (bass), Ewan Vernal (bass), John Allan (bass), Neil Cameron (bass), David Patrick (piano), Stuart Conaghan (piano) and Steve Waterman (trumpet). Since moving to Cambridge she has been privileged to play alongside Martin Kemp (clarinet/sax) Jeremy Kahn (guitar/bass and Bert Schilperoort (drums/sax), amongst others.
