With music in hit TV drama Six Feet Under, jazz-folk singer-songwriter Sophie Bancroft is currently promoting her most recent CD Hot And Cold.
Having grown up in one of Scotlands leading jazz families and serving her apprenticeship in Edinburghs jazz and folk scenes, Sophies musical journey has taken in many sights and sounds including performances at the South By Southwest Festival, Celtic Connections, Edinburgh and Glasow International Jazz Festivals, Shetland Folk Festival . . . collaborations with electronic band Spylab, Martin Greens The Green Machine, Corrina Hewats New Voices commission . . . broadcasts on BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, Scotland . . .
With songs about life, her music can be fun, flirty, heart-wrenching, shocking and beautiful. Sophie has a publishing deal at Bug Music, Los Angeles, and has released 3 CDs on her own label, LisaLeo Records.
